Varekai Premiere VIP Opening Party

From the dream of a group of young entertainers and street performers in the early 80’s, began the world extraordinaire of Cirque Du Soleil.

With each show taking you into a different extraordinary fantasy world of acrobats, dancers, singers, clowns and actors, it is no wonder that Cirque Du Soleil shows are now performed through out countless purpose built venues, arena stadiums as well as the touring Grand Chapiteau’s all around the World.

Cirque Du Soleil have wowed Perth in the past with their performances of ‘Saltimbanco’, ‘Quidam’ and ‘Allegria’ and on August 17th began their season in Perth of ‘Vareki’.

CCP were contracted to coordinate the exclusive VIP opening party at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Steering away from the forest surroundings of the world of ‘Vareki’, the party concept was ‘Futuristic’.

Patrons were welcomed to the venue by stilt walkers, fire performers and roving entertainers. After walking through the immense truss structure, red carpet and gold lame entry statement, patrons entered through the Main Hall to a visual spectacular including 7 high powered LCD projectors that projected images across the 25m sweeping wall of the hall.

‘Buff Boys’ and models in silver gowned costumes greeted patrons with hibiscus floated champagne and DJ entertainment provided by Paul Malone. PCEC staff were on hand to readily provide refreshments and delicious canapés for the patrons as they mingled and were entertained by the stilt walkers dancing to the DJ. The walkway to the lounge area featured the ‘Tunnel’, an illuminated 15m tunnel that changed colour and pulsated with the music. With bar service areas in between the tunnel points, patrons were led through to the ‘Lounge Area’. The lounge area was a stylish, comfortable and warm room with a lounge music DJ, plasma screens featuring live images from the other areas of the function, subtle and warm lighting and undisturbed views to the Grand Chapiteau. Here patrons could have their future read by the tarot reader, visit the numerologist or just chill out in the lounges while munching on the thousands of Cadbury Favourites chocolates that littered every table throughout the venue.

Patrons had the opportunity to visit the special ‘Mac’ make up area for any required touch ups during the evening while the more adventurous choose to receive personal artwork by the temporary tattoo artists. Both areas were in high demand by young and old.

The entire function area looked fantastic and we received many awe inspired compliments.
