Lexus Cup 2007

Perth welcomed the opportunity to hold the prestigious Lexus Cup women’s golf tournament during December at the Vines Resort and Country Club. This was the first time that the event was held outside of Asia.

The event featured 3 days of live television broadcasted throughout WA, 150 VIP guests flown in from across Asia, and several corporate and social functions; all of which CCP were heavily involved in.

CCP’s General Manager Jerry Reinhardt was responsible for coordinating the production for the corporate marquee at the Vines Resort, car displays across the course, and the major corporate dinner event held at Government House for the VIP’s and the players.

Megan Ward was contracted to coordinate a selection of staff for the event; from promotional staff to welcome the VIP’s, luggage handlers and hotel staff, to bus coordinators assisting guests during travel. She was also responsible for airport, hotel and event logistics, coordinating arrivals and departures of guests at hotels, airports and to and from The Vines Resort for the Lexus Cup and other social events for the guests.

The Lexus Cup was a great success with Team Asia winning the tournament yet again. As a great tourism initiative for Western Australia to some of our key tourism markets of Japan, Korea and China, we hope that Perth pursues the opportunity of first option to host the event again in 2010 and 2013.
