In February 2008, Andrew McManus brought to Perth the inaugural Raggamuffin festival. January 24th 2009 saw the festival return to Perth, relocating from last year’s WACA grounds to the picturesque Supreme Court Gardens. With performances from Zarm, Bonjah, Inner Circle, Arrested Development, Shaggy, Ali Campbell, Eddy Grant and Ziggy Marley, Perth kicked off the awesome tour in a flood of red, green and yellow, peace signs and Marley shirts.
CCP provided the site management for the event, as well as the site lighting and the lighting rig consisting Martin Mac 500’s, 600’s, 700’s and 2000’s.
The event left the crowd of around 6,500, in the fun loving, happy vibe of the day, delivering the reggae fans of Perth their hit of Jamaica, until next time.
